Youth Athletic Training

Chandler, Mesa, and Gilbert Youth Athlete Personal Training with Team Cane Fitness Center has several great Kids Programs.  Our Youth Training Programs is designed to improve the physical development for youth at all athletic levels. We range from the beginner athlete to the elite youth athletes playing baseball, football, soccer and many other sports, we train youth as young as 13 years old up to 19. Kids not only want and need to be active, they also need to be taught how to be active. We help improve your teen athlete speed, agility, strength, and conditioning.

It has been proven that kids who are physically active has less chance of injury . It is important to encourage some form of physical activity when your children are young as child obesity is a growing epidemic and by the time they reach high school we find that approximately 60% of children are no longer physically active.

More importantly, training young athletes has to be balanced to align with their their growth. Speed, Strength and Agility is a developed skill.

Our philosophy is that speed is a developed skill. Many challenges that young athletes and coaches fail to recognize is that speed is a physical attribute and can be enhanced through proper preparation in any athlete at any age. Many coaches believe that traditional speed training should focus on increasing an athlete’s muscle and power. Many people believed that the stronger the athlete, the faster the athlete.

Team Cane Fitness takes a different more contemporary approach. Our speed/strength training programs incorporate a number of components in developing and maximizing an athlete’s speed potential.

It has now been proven that there are various aspects of training that contribute to enhanced speed or maximum velocity. So, what are the elements that generate maximum velocity and how do we enhance these factors for you? Any type of speed training includes activities specific to developing an athlete’s reaction time, acceleration, and the stage of transition from acceleration to maximum speed. This latter stage focuses on training the athlete in a way that maximizes the athlete’s stride frequency and stride length.

Agility/Strength is the key to success. Strength Training, Jumping ability, balance and stabilization, stretching, core, cutting and change of direction skills, acceleration, body control and lateral movement are all part of skill and agility training. We are able to offer a variety of training programs to fit the needs of your child. We can take an individual from the Junior Varsity team to the top of the Varsity team or from a Varsity player to a prospective college athlete and eventually to a professional athlete.

We encourage small groups and teams as each player will be challenged to fulfill their own goals but provides a team environment.
