When I first started training with Tyrone I was a slim 120 pounds and knew next to nothing about weight training. In 6 months my weight jumped almost 30 pounds, and I saw my strength and muscle mass dramatically increase. Hello! My name is Jennifer and I am a 5’4″, 21 year old full-time orthodontic assistant and native of good ol’e Arizona. Before I met Tyrone, I was your typical yo-yo dieter. I would start a diet Monday morning full of motivation and determination just to end up binging on whatever I felt like by dinner time….This vicious cycle of starting and stopping diets had gone on since about 8th grade.
I come from a family with a strong Italian background and boy do we love to eat, and eat, and did I mention eat?! With my taste buds, genetics, and lack of time and energy, I never thought it would ever be possible for me to look like the women on the covers of all the fitness magazines. So, I resorted to trying every fad diet known to man. You name it I’ve done it…Everything from Weight Watchers…to HCG… to the Cabbage Soup diet… (that’s alot of diets!). Every single attempt miserably failed. If I had lost any weight, it came right back on in no time. When I started training and following the personalized meal plan Ty wrote for me, my body began to change faster and in a whole new way than ever before. And guess what? I GOT TO EAT! AAAAAAAALOT! I did not believe I could ever get into rockin’ shape eating the way he had me eat. Before I knew it, 10 weeks had flown by and I found myself standing under bright lights in the middle of a stage….in a turquoise bikini….holding my 2nd place trophy at my very first fitness competition (bikini division). Words cannot describe the mix of emotions that I felt. Just thinking about it gives me goose bumps! After the show, my husband said “Who would have ever thought that my pizza eatin’, pasta lovin, chocolate obsessed wife would not only compete in a fitness show, but take home a trophy!?!”. I would have NEVER been able to do it without Ty. He is more than a trainer, he is a coach. He was the only one who truly believed in me and saw the potential in me that I did not see in myself. I have had trainers in the past and NOT ONE of them even come close to possessing the knowledge and talent that Ty has. He truly has a God given gift. Did I have some bad days along the way? Of course everybody does, but instead of making me feel even worse, Ty was/is ALWAYS there to pick me back up. If you want to get into the best shape of your life physically, mentally, and emotionally, you have come to the right place.
With that said…you know what I think about diets now? Lets put it this way…What are the first 3 letters of the word ‘diet’? D-I-E…DIE!!! Getting healthy is not something that starts and ends. It is a lifestyle! All you need is the education! For me, this was more than getting into shape. This was conquering that evil voice in my head telling me I could never do it. Growing up, many goals I wanted to accomplish were never achieved because of THAT voice…I would quit before I’de even get started because I would tell myself- “Why even try? You’ll never be good enough anyways. Save yourself the embarassment”. I played softball for years and when try outs finally came, guess what I did? Didn’t show up. All year of practice down the drain. I preferred to not even try rather than try and be embarrassed if I didn’t make the team. Even if I ended up not making the team, at least I wouldn’t be left wondering ‘what if?’ for the rest of my life! Don’t let ‘THAT VOICE’, ANYONE, or ANYTHING keep your from achieving your dreams!

It was truly a blessing when I started training with Tyrone in June of 2009.
My first figure competition was in July of 2009, so there was limited time to prepare with Ty. Although I was excited for my first show, I was also nervous. Fortunately, Ty was there to guide me every step of the way. This included the workouts, posing, diet, and everything else that is required to prepare for a show. When I went on stage for the first time, I looked better than I ever have! Ty was there from the pre-judging through the night show supporting me the entire day! I received many compliments from my friends, families, and strangers.
After my first show, I felt a confidence I haven’t felt in my entire life! I never thought I could have the courage to be a figure competitor, and quite frankly, my family and friends had their doubts as well! Fortunately, Ty had faith in me and helped me to have faith in myself. Ty genuinely cares about the progress of his clients and helping us reach our goals.
My second show, in March of 2010, was even more successful! Ty knew how my body would react to the diet he put me on, and I looked even better the second time around! I took home two trophies that night and felt more motivated than ever. Ty helped me reach my goal of getting top 5 in both categories I competed in. My highest place was 3rd in open, which qualified me for nationals.
The transformation that Tyrone made with my body after only training with him for nine months was absolutely incredible! He has a unique style of dieting and training that is highly effective when followed.
Tyrone has pushed me to be my best as an athlete and as a person. I never could have achieved what I have so far without his knowledge, patience, and guidance.
I look forward to continuing to train with Tyrone for my next show. He has been a great support and motivator!

Going to the same gym for 7 years, I realized that I was still doing the same routines and it was time for a change. I met with an outside trainer and wasn’t impressed with the macho “I can make you a fitness model!” Getting on stage was definitely not one of my goals, however, I would love to look like I could. After watching one of Ty’s clients transform her body, I was impressed! Ty was great, he knows just what to do for your problem areas. A month or two into my training, I had a few neighbors and friends ask if I was training for a fitness competition. 7 years, I have never been asked that. Enough said! I have tried many different diets throughout the years and haven’t had the results that I wanted. I have always had a difficult time losing weight and sticking to the diets. Every time I would try the diets would be too restricting or difficult to follow. After looking at many different diets I found one that I could truly follow and didn’t feel like I was starving or not being able to eat foods that tasted good. The Food Plan was from Team Cane. It was very easy to follow and I started it in 2008! I am happy to say that I continue to follow it today and have lost 70 lbs. Included in the plan is a list of foods that you can choose from and a plan for your cardio. Before I thought if I just watched what I ate I would lose weight but after following the Food Plan I now know that in order to reach my goals I must include cardio in my day. I was morbidly obese on my first day of TCF Ladies Boot camp. Difficult words to write, but at 5’4 and 251 pounds, it was the truth. I considered having lap band surgery, but I really wanted to give exercise and healthy eating one more try.
I began boot camp April 2009 and have not stopped yet. My weight came off slow but consistent. I lost 109 pounds so far; I am working on toning and participating in new adventures like marathons and learning to swim for triathlons.
At one time I was the last person in class but I was good with that. It meant I showed up! The instructor had always been there to cheer me on (as well as other people in the class), give me other exercises when I could not keep up (in a discreet way) and pushed me to limits I thought I could not achieve.
DO NOT think you cannot do boot camp if you are very overweight. I could barely walk around the track but now I can jog miles. Instructors has also given me direction with my caloric needs and helped me with my food choices.
So I take 1 day at a time, trying to make most good choices along the way as I have learned that you can cheat a little and still feel ok about yourself.

The boot camp changed what I do and put into my body. I eat better and I actually enjoy working out now. The first week of the boot camp I could barely run 2 laps let alone a mile. Now after 4 weeks of training I can run a mile and a half. I have lost inches, gained endurance and serious muscle in my arms. My attitude is better and my husband says I look great. I feel great and look forward to future boot camps.

CHANGED MY LIFE
TCF Ladies Boot Camp! What can I say… It has changed my life. I became friends with the ladies, along with the trainers, and there is such camaraderie that I actually started looking forward to getting up at 4:30am every day. I used muscles that I never even knew I had. It is a total fitness, full body workout. I am 46 years old and feel better than I have in years.
It was the best decision I have ever made and worth every penny I have spent, and then some. I can’t wait for the next one!!!!

“I just wanted to take this time to say how much I enjoy your class! This is my first boot camp, and I was unsure how good I would be at working out at 8am every morning, but it has been great so far! The only class I’ve missed has been because I was up working on a project, and not because I slept in! I think your class has been challenging and interesting, as we haven’t done the same thing twice yet so the class is NEVER repetitive and boring. I’ve started to notice changes in my body and fitness level, and hopefully will reach my goals soon.

This TCF Ladies Boot Camp has been such an amazing experience. I never thought I would look forward to waking up at 6:30am! I have lost 30lbs and 6″ off my hips, 5″ off my waist, 3″ off my thighs, and 1 1/2″ off my arms after only 4 boot camps. I have never felt so healthy and happy with my body. I’m in better shape at 30 than I was at 20. Amazing!
